A delicate collage of watercolour studies by Caroline Maria Applebee (c.1787–1854), this design captures her tender depictions of both British native and exotic plants. A prominent member of Colchester’s Horticultural Society, Applebee’s work, created over four decades, was later acquired by the RHS. Printed on velvet, it reflects the elegance and sensitivity of her botanical illustrations.
